Ferguson Hotel Development started with John Ferguson who attended his first Marriott owners meeting in 1989 and is the 7th Franchisee. His first project was a 104-room Fairfield Inn in Liberty, Missouri. Over the years John has developed several other hotels. Ferguson Hotel Development, LLC (FHD) was created in 2007 and is comprised of a close-knit family as well as Jeff Sharp, whom has been working/partnering with the Ferguson family since he was 15 years old. FHD is a preferred developer with the 3 major brands Marriott, Hilton, and IHG. We use our long-standing relationships to help secure franchise rights for our different sites. This preferred status gives us more flexibility to customize the design of our projects, where it may be different from the brand’s standard prototype, and helps improve the bottom line. We have developed and perfected many new concepts that have enhanced the guest experience such as, standing seam metal roofs, glass showers for limited service and decorating the hotels with an ambiance that will reflect the community that we are serving in.

Currently, Ferguson Hotel Development owns 7 operating hotels and continues to expand our reach with 2 new hotels planned a year for the next several years.
